Legacy Comes to Life with true stories about the Real people that helped form the Republic of Texas!
Legacy Comes to Life is a book published by members and direct descendants of the Sons of the Republic of Texas (SRT)
This book features first-person accounts and ancestral biographies of men and women who lived and fought during the Republic of Texas era (1836 to February 19, 1846). These stories highlight real historical figures and events, such as the bravery of Melvina Alvira (Duff) Carson during the Run Away Scrape. It serves as a resource for genealogical research into early Texas history.
Proceeds from the book support the Sons of the Republic of Texas' core mission of historical education, artifact preservation, and the promotion of Texas heritage.
